From May 12 to May 22, 2026, the National Academy of Management is hosting an exhibition of embroidered artworks dedicated to World Vyshyvanka Day, which is celebrated this year on May 21.
The exhibition features embroidered towels, tablecloths, shirts, blouses, dresses, paintings, decorative pillows, and other handcrafted items created with a deep appreciation for Ukrainian traditions and culture. Each piece is unique and reflects the richness of Ukraine’s cultural heritage, as well as the skill, creativity, and dedication of its creators.
The vyshyvanka, the traditional Ukrainian embroidered garment, is far more than a national costume. It represents a cultural code of the nation and serves as a symbol of identity, unity, resilience, and continuity. Through its distinctive patterns, colors, and symbols, Ukrainian embroidery preserves the history of generations, spiritual values, and the cultural memory of the Ukrainian people.
The exhibition provides an opportunity to explore the beauty and diversity of traditional Ukrainian embroidery while highlighting its enduring significance in contemporary society. At a time when preserving cultural heritage is especially important, such initiatives help strengthen national identity and foster respect for the traditions that unite generations.
We warmly invite students, faculty members, staff, and guests of the Academy to visit the exhibition and join in celebrating Ukrainian traditions, which remain an essential part of Ukraine’s cultural heritage and national consciousness.
